Frequently asked questions

The useful questions, answered plainly.

What the screening does, what the report includes, and how your information is handled.

What is Tempo?

Tempo is a private adult ADHD screening experience. It combines the six-question ASRS v1.1 screener with separate questions about everyday life, then offers a paid personalised educational report.

Is this an ADHD diagnosis?

No. A screening result cannot diagnose or rule out ADHD. Diagnosis requires a fuller assessment by an appropriately qualified professional.

Who is it for?

This version is only for adults aged 18 or over who want a structured first look at attention, organisation, follow-through, time, or restlessness.

How long does it take?

Most people finish the screening and contextual questions in about six to eight minutes. There is no timer, and you can go back.

Which screening tool is used?

The first six questions are the English patient-facing Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale v1.1 6-Question Screener (ASRS v1.1 6Q).

What do the extra questions do?

They help the report explain where the difficulty shows up, what pattern seems most useful to act on, and which guidance fits. They never change the ASRS answers or screening score.

How is the displayed score calculated?

In this testing version, each of the six frequency responses contributes 0–4 points, for a total from 0–24. The report shows the total, range, and threshold status. These are screening ranges, not ADHD severity levels.

Does a higher score mean I have ADHD?

No. Crossing a screening threshold means the result may be worth exploring more closely. It is not a probability, diagnosis, or severity rating.

What if my score is lower but I am still struggling?

The difficulty still matters. The report considers reported impact and relevant context, and may suggest a broader professional conversation rather than dismissing the problem.

What does the paid report include?

It includes your score and its limits, an explanation of what your answers add up to, the patterns that matter most, up to three practical actions, what to avoid, useful environmental support, and proportionate professional guidance.

How much does the report cost? Is it a subscription?

The configured price is $5.99. It is a one-time purchase with no subscription or recurring charge.

Can I download the report?

Yes. After the report is unlocked, you can download a PDF containing the visible report. It does not include the private token, payment ID, or internal rule identifiers.

How long is the private report link available?

The current retention period is the configured retention period. Anyone with the link may be able to view the report, so keep it private and download a copy if you want to retain it.

Can I delete my assessment data?

Yes. Use “Delete my assessment data” on the private report page. This removes the stored answers and report and invalidates the link. Minimal payment or accounting records may remain separately where required.

Do you collect an email address or phone number?

No. This version does not ask for an account, email address, phone number, full legal name, or date of birth. A first name is optional.

Is my information sold or used for advertising?

No. Screening answers are not sold, used for health-based advertising, or shared with advertising networks. Tempo does not use advertising pixels or session replay.

When might speaking to a professional help?

A conversation may be worthwhile when difficulties are persistent, significantly disruptive, newly changing, or affecting important parts of daily life. The report keeps this guidance proportionate and does not prescribe a provider or treatment.
